Construction of Aupark Košice has started today
Developer HB Reavis Slovakia has started the construction of a shopping and entertainment center in the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia
Bratislava, January 14, 2010 – HB Reavis Slovakia today officially started the construction of a multifunctional complex Aupark Košice at the Liberators´ Square (Námestie osloboditeľov), consisting of a shopping and entertainment centre and an office building. As soon as at the end of 2011, the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia will provide its citizens and visitors with new services, shops, entertainment and office space.
“Aupark Košice will provide first-class services and possibilities of shopping. It will include all significant international fashion brands, supermarket with high-quality concept, large bookshop, fitness-centre, branches of banks as well as restaurants, fast-foods offering international cuisine and cafes that will provide the visitors with a wide range of possibilities for relaxation and gastronomic experience,” stated Roman Karabelli, HB Reavis representative.
With its three floors and almost 34,000 square meters, Aupark Košice will offer its visitors 161 operations and 1,100 parking spaces as well as over 11,000 square meters of leasable area of the highest standard. Last but not least, it will also create several hundreds of new jobs. HB Reavis Slovakia estimates the total construction costs at EUR 93 million (SKK 2.8 billion). In order to provide for the smoothness of traffic in the city centre, the company will also build a modern four-way road at the Liberators´ Square.

Aupark will be found in Žilina, Košice, Trenčín, Piešťany, Ružomberok, Brno, Ostrava, Hradec Králové and Karviná.
