Bratislava, 2 October 2009 – On 17 September 2009 the Regional Court in Žilina confirmed in full the ruling of the District Court in the dispute on assessing ownership title to the land plots at the Ľudovít Štúr Square. This court still in March of this year by its ruling abated the action of the municipality of Žilina against Aupark Žilina, spol. s r.o. in full, and confirmed the validity of the contested purchase contract, and by that also the ownership title of the company to the land plot below the structure of the shopping and entertainment center. The ruling of the Regional Court in Žilina is final and it is not possible to appeal against it.  “The current ruling of the Regional Court is perceived by Aupark Žilina, spol. s r.o. as a moral victory in this dispute. The court has conclusively confirmed the indefeasibility of ownership title to the subject land plot. At the same time this means that the ownership title to it could no longer be limited by provisional remedy registered up until now at the relevant cadastral office“, Roman Karabelli explains, representative of HB Reavis Slovakia, a.s, which is the project developer.  The project of the shopping and entertainment center Aupark Žilina is in the phase of implementation. The shell has been completed, now the construction work is in progress in the interior and on the façade of the building. The investor is in the process of concluding contracts with individual interested parties for shops. After its planned completion next year, the center will offer its visitors up to 137 commercial premises on the total area for rent of 25,710 m² having a broad offer of goods and services. By making available 880 parking lots the center will significantly improve the static traffic in the downtown area.
