HB Reavis Slovakia continues in preparations for starting the construction of Aupark in Košice. Urban land permit issued already for the construction should come into legal force in a short time and thus create space for starting the building permission proceedings. The developer shipped the complete design documentation for the building permission proceedings already to aggrieved organizations and is acquiring their standpoints in successive steps.
“Legally binding urban land permit will move on our project noticeably closer to soon implementation. Even in the time when the entire industry is in crisis and other developers' companies suspend their projects, Aupark in Košice is for us one of priority projects. Construction of a modern shopping and entertainment centre of an urban type will create hundreds of new job opportunities in Košice in a short time. We suppose that after its completion it will win favour of many loyal visitors very soon. Even at the present time we register great interest in commercial as well as office premises in Aupark. We have already started signing contracts with first tenants”, says Roman Karabelli, the public relations officer of HB Reavis Slovakia.
Another important step will be proceedings of Košice City in re of filed application for issuing approval with wood-pulp extraction for purposes of Aupark construction and four-lane road at Námestie Osloboditeľov. Verbal proceedings connected with local inspection ordered by the City will take place in attendance of representatives of the city, investor, Regional Office for the preservation of historical monuments, Regional centre for nature protection and non-governmental environmental organizations Sosna (Pine) and Priatelia zeme (Earth friends) on Tuesday 10 March 2009. Subject of the proceedings will be, apart from other things, evaluation of social value of wood-pulp based on expert dendrologist opinions and resolving proposals of specific substitute outplanting.
“As we have already committed in the process of finding impacts to the environment (EIA), we have provided for the project of substitute outplanting of trees of adequate value for the greenery, which has to be extracted”, explains Karabelli.
